The novel talks about an extraordinary boy, called “August” that had a facial deformity. He had to go to school in the fifth grade, because his mom wanted him to involve with the real life. He faced a lot of bullying situations, and hard times, but he could solve that with patience and intelligence. He won the trophy of the most attractive boy, because, he showed his real beauty, which is inside him.

The plot of the novel began when August started going to school without confidence, it rose when the boys’ eyes stared him and “Julian” did many bullying actions against August. It reached its climax when August’s best friend “Jack Will” said in the Halloween that he would kill himself if he had such August’s face. August felt disappointed and ashamed of his face, and had terrible times. Ater that, the plot began to be solved when a girl called “summer” offered him her friend ship, and “Jack Will” apologized to August. Finally, August showed his outstanding abilities and the kids loved his internal beauty.
